A small room in a library that holds about 80 people. There are a bunch of tables spread out haphazardly around the room with around 6 people at each table. The people are busy writing addresses on postcards. The late afternoon sun shines on the back wall through windows near the top of the room.

“Missing Dems” Project Team

Cooper River Indivisible has teamed up with Action Together New Jersey (Camden County Chapter Facebook Page) to help with their “Missing Dems” Project. This project is designed to understand why some voters who are registered Democrats sat out during the 2024 general election. The idea behind the project is to reach out to these voters directly through a handwritten postcard that will remind them that their voice matters and will give them a chance to tell us about the issues that matter most to them.

On May 29th, the team held a postcard writing party at the William G. Rohrer Memorial Library in Haddon Township. The event was a rousing success with more than 80 individuals coming out to help with this effort. Some participants helped financially to cover the cost of sending out the postcards while others took time to write out the cards by hand. Many of the people who attended did both!!
