May Day 2025 Participation

Members of Cooper River Indivisible (CRI) joined other local groups on May Day to help push forward our agenda for social justice. From around 9 am to 3 pm various members of CRI joined others outside the James A. Byrne U.S. Federal Courthouse to show support to the NJ Attorney General’s appeal of the ruling that struck down Gov. Murphy’s law barring private companies from detaining immigrants on NJ soil.

Then starting around 4 pm, members of CRI joined many other groups for the “Workers, Not Billionaires” rally at Philadelphia City Hall. The keynote speaker for this rally was Bernie Sanders.

We kept it going this afternoon with our own March outside the Federal Courthouse in Philadelphia. We demand due process, we demand Trump follow court orders, and most of all we demand no more human beings be sent to foreign concentration camps in our name. #MayDay2025 #maydaystrong
