Community Vigil for the Emanet Family

On Saturday, March 1, 2025, Copper River Indivisible had a vigil/rally for the Emanet family (the owners of the Jersey Kabab Restaurant) in Haddon Township New Jersey. On February 25th the owners, Celal and Emine Emanet, were arrested by federal agents. The two have been in the country since 2008 and have created a vibrant restaurant and strong community ties since that time. We highly encourage you to read more about the family in the links provided at the bottom of the page.
The vigil on the first saw hundreds of people show up to lend their support to the family. The vigil last for a little more than an hour and the couple’s sons provided food for the supporters during this vigil.
